چکیده

Concept name similarity calculation between ontologies is the basis of ontology mapping. Many concept name words are polysemous, but in traditional word similarity algorithms, the similarity between the most similar senses of two words was regarded as the word similarity. It were ignored that the true meanings of concept names in the context, which resulted in falling of the precision of similarity calculation and ontology mapping. A new algorithm was presented in this paper: The true meaning of hypernym concept of an ontology concept and the comment of this concept were seen as two conceptual features. The conceptual WordNet sense the most similar to the features in all senses was determined as the true sense of this concept in ontology context. Each of the two features can generate a corresponding concept sense determination method and a kind of concept name similarity. At last, the weighted sum of the two kinds of similarities was seen as the final concept name similarity. The experimental result showed that our algorithm outperforms other existing algorithms. The ambiguity of the concept name words can be eliminated, and the precision of both of concept name similarity calculation and ontology mapping can be increased dramatically.

Semantic Similarity Measure Using Information Content Approach With Depth For Similarity Calculation

Similarity is criteria of measuring nearness or proximity between two concepts. Several algorithmic approaches for computing similarity have been proposed. Among the existing Similarity measure, majority of them utilize WordNet as an underlying ontology for calculating semantic similarity. WordNet is a lexical database for English Language which was created and maintained by Congnitive Science ...

Query Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology

Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...

Automatic Construction of Persian ICT WordNet using Princeton WordNet

WordNet is a large lexical database of English language, in which, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets). Each synset expresses a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by both semantic and lexical relations. WordNet is essentially used for word sense disambiguation, information retrieval, and text translation. In this paper, we propose s...

Results of NBJLM for OAEI 2010

This paper presents the results obtained by NBJLM (Nankai Baidu Joint Lab Matcher) for its first participation to OAEI 2010. The research of ontology-based similarity calculation among concepts has already been a hot issue. NBJLM is an hybrid ontology alignment method that considers both similarity of literal concept and semantic structure. Simultaneously, how to accelerate matching has been me...
